The United Nations Sub-regional Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Central Africa는 2004년 3
월 29일부터 30일까지  Brazzaville(Congo)에서  "Women journalists, Human Rights and the Rule of
Law"라는 주제로 sub-regional workshop를 개최한다.
이번 Workshop은  ECCAS(Economic Community of Central Africa States)의 회원국에서 대표적인 여
성 매체기관를 위해 개최된다.
이번 workshop은 매일의 일상에서 좀더 나은 인권의 통합권 권리와 민주주의를 요구하는 참가자들
을 그 대상으로 하며, 그들이 국제적인 기준안에서 언론 자유의 더 나은 보호와 승진을 보장받을수
있게 함을 목적으로 한다.
